What’s new in corsage works, boutonnieres, floral cuffs, flower crown, floral necklace, earrings and more…  Exquisite works  demonstrated to explore the range of botanicals and supplies which contributes to beautiful color and textural interplay most suitable for wearable art. Many techniques and methods for this creative process will be discussed and demonstrated. Also updated information on preparation of flowers for gluing, the most effective hydration process will be presented in full. ‘Fresh Look at Bridal Bouquets’ with Ania Norwood & Hitomi Gilliam

A fresh look at different forms of bridal bouquets… exploring different curvilinear shapes like Crescents and Hogarth Curves... more stylistic Formal Linear bouquets… and Technique-driven European stylings. We will venture into unique and exciting flower and foliage combinations that excites us today. An in-depth step by step demo of the methods and techniques used, and the general mechanics that’s involved in effectively designing these different styles. Additional sampling of interesting material use with complementing floral supplies which add extra interest to the bouquets.  Care and handling of flowers and greens, and the resulting bouquets will be part of the important discussion. Join Ania and Hitomi simultaneously for a technique-filled workshop.

A fresh look at new shapes, styling and combination of botanicals possible for thoughtful, beautiful tribute for celebration of life.  Traditional sympathy flowers have kept its static funereal stature for generations, the flowers that have continued to reflect mourning the death rather than life well-lived.  Let’s explore ways to bring beauty of life and to memorialize the spirit of their being in the tributes.  The mechanics and methods with and without foam will be explored… to design expressive and meaningful sprays, wreaths and décor for funeral service and celebration of life event.  Join Brenna and Hitomi to see the possibilities… the new look of sympathy and the new ways of working with flowers to design thoughtful, personal lasting memories

‘Travel Through Flowers with Tropical Nouveau Bouquets’ with Sue Tabbal Yamaguchi & Hitomi Gilliam

An up close look at the different moods of Tropical Nouveau designing – a flower blending concept that adventurously combine tropical and temperate flowers.  We will explore the proportional aspect of the mix and its effects, and the different elemental focus which allows for the beautiful transition of tropicals to temperates in a bouquet attractively.  We will also demonstrate various hand-tied bouquet methods to show some of the most spectacular flower mixtures. Join Sue and Hitomi and enjoy this exciting botanical adventure…. we dare you to get out of your comfort zone and learn to combine in new and intriguing ways.  This is a wonderful way to travel in 2021….  through flowers!!!
